Cannes social chatter turns towards awards and ideas


The awards ceremony for Media, PR, Outdoor, Glass and Creative Effectiveness generated the highest volume of mentions of Cannes Lions so far in MEC’s Cannes Lions social monitoring.


Grand Prix winners Apple and Procter & Gamble drove conversations with their iPhone-camera showcasing World Gallery (Outdoor) and confidence-inspiring #LikeAGirl (PR) campaigns respectively, capturing attention and imaginations with “scale” and “standout creatives.”

In other news, Kim Kardashian doesn’t quite manage to “break Cannes”, but gets people talking about the importance of “authenticity” in creating a successful brand – featuring amongst the top 10 most mentioned influencers as of Wednesday.
