WPP, Snapchat, and Daily Mail join forces to launch Truffle Pig, a new content marketing company

download (5)Early this morning—at least by Cannes standards—Evan Spiegel, CEO of Snapchat, joined WPP founder and CEO Martin Sorrell, and Jon Steinberg, CEO of Daily Mail North America, to announce the launch of Truffle Pig. Led by Alexander Jutkowitz, the new content marketing agency will focus on content planning, development, creation, and distribution over multiple media platforms.

Truffle Pig’s association with Snapchat will enable the new agency venture to foster the development of vertical video view ads. In interviews, both Jutkowitz and Steinberg touted the potential of vertical video, particularly for “mobile-first” marketing, an oft-discussed concept among advertising professionals. AOL signs up as exclusive UK partner of Campaign TV

Screen shot 2015-06-19 at 11.46.42AOL has signed a deal to be the exclusive UK partner of Campaign TV at Cannes Lions next week.
Campaign, alongside its sister titles Marketing, PR Week and Media Week, will be providing live coverage from Cannes all week, celebrating the winners, analysing key trends and capturing the fun of the event.

Awards results: no Grand Prix winners in Branded Content or Film Craft

Judges decided not to award any Grand Prix awards (the highest honour) in both the Film Craft Lions and the Branded Content and Entertainment Lions at Cannes 2014.

Gold Lions awarded in the Branded Content and Entertainment category were mainly to USA agencies, including 3 golds which went to Creative Artists Agency for their ad “the scarecrow” for Chipotle Mexican Grill.

Volvo Trucks and Harvey Nichols win Film Lions Grand Prix: watch the videos

Two campaigns have been awarded Film Lions Grand Prix awards at Cannes, on the final evening of awards ceremonies.

British agency Adam&Eve/DDB won one Grand Prix for “sorry I spent it on myself”, for Harvey Nichols, while “epic split” by Forsman & Bodenfors was awarded the second Grand Prix in the film category.
